Student Internships with Ford

While there are various locations throughout the United States, Ford Motor Company’s headquarters remain in Detroit, Michigan, dating back to 1903 when Henry Ford produced is first Model-T. Today the company is one of the three largest American automakers selling vehicles across six continents. The company not only makes automobiles, but also produces vehicles under several other brands, including Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Mercury.

Ford Motor Company’s internships are based around its many career development programs. Departments offer both an internship and a possible of receiving a full-time job in the Ford College Graduate program. Departments offering internships include product development, finance, marketing, purchasing, human relations, and more. The goal of these internships is to supply interns with usable experience in an area that is related to the students’ academic studies. The summer internship accommodates roughly 250-300 individuals. While the internship is paid, pay is competitive and based on degree status, and major. Travel is a possibility, however, accommodations and reimbursement is offered, as well as a housing stipend for students who travel over a specific distance.

How to apply:

Recruiting for the summer internship begins in the fall. For Motor Company does not accept hard copies of resumes. It is asked that you fill out a profile and upload a resume online. Internships are open to college sophomores, juniors, and seniors. It is necessary to have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Academic background relevant to the internship is also required.
