Internships with Amnesty International

Amnesty International is the leading international organization dedicated to protecting human rights for all citizens.

The USA chapter offers many opportunities to witness the important law and policy work that Amnesty performs to support those fighting abuses of power. Amnesty International is dedicated to research into the societal causes of human rights violations, and uses this research to prevent further abuses.

Interning at Amnesty International:

One of the most popular of Amnesty's many programs is the Refugee Program Internship Program. Internships are unpaid and intended for college juniors and seniors, recent graduates and law students. Interns have the opportunity to take part in the research projects and strategy meetings, as well as some Congressional office meetings.

How to Apply:

Due to the high profile of many Amnesty International cases and projects, the organization has very high standards for interns. While positions are unpaid, prospective interns are required to have NGO (non-governmental organization) and research experience in order to qualify.
